Hi, I’m Jesse.

I'm a natural convener — the person who gathers people, starts clubs, organizes things, throws parties to introduce friends to each other, and creates a small community wherever I go. It showed up when I was a kid, and it shows up now.

Over the past few years, I kept noticing something. This world is full of interesting people, but connecting as an adult is uniquely difficult. Everyone's busy. Everyone's a little isolated. It's way too easy to fall into a loop of work, home, scrolling, repeat. A lot of people feel like they haven't found their people yet — or that over time, they've needed to find different ones.

IRL started because I couldn't stop thinking about that. When I planned my first Social Salon, I expected people to slowly warm up to a new idea. What I found instead was that it wasn't a new idea at all. It was a good one. This is actually how adults find each other. We just don't have the spaces to do it anymore. The response was immediate, and it didn't stay local for long.

I've spent 25 years in marketing and event design — including a decade running corporate teambuilding — and what all of it taught me is that when the environment is right and the structure is smart, people open up. So I started experimenting. I tested prompts, played with group sizes, watched how rooms settled, and learned what makes people comfortable fast. That work became the Social Salon, and eventually a whole ecosystem: structured conversation nights, Singles Salons, craft nights at breweries, and private events for companies and communities. Different formats, same design thinking.

The people who show up are incredible. They come solo. They take the risk. They get comfortable faster than they expect. They stay late because the conversations get good. That part still gets me every time.

IRL isn't about fixing anyone. It's about creating experiences where connecting feels natural again — where you walk out thinking, there really are good people here. Sometimes you meet someone you'll see again. Sometimes the night itself is enough.

If you appreciate good conversation, good energy, and a room with the right vibe — or if you want to build that for your own people — I'd love to have you.
